About Us

Kendall & JoElla Kempf
JoElla and I have been married over 30 years and both graduated from Charis Bible College (CBC) in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2007. In May 2008 we finished our apprenticeship or third year in the program. Our experience at CBC has set us on a course to take the next step in our ministry.

I am a pastor and have a vision of serving a fellowship of like-minded believers in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. Our mission is to fulfill the Great Commission at the same time equipping the Body of Christ for the work of the ministry. The scriptural basis of my calling to ministry is Luke 4:18-19:
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Jesus was reading this passage from Isaiah 61. Then He closed the book. What He didn’t read in Isaiah goes on to say, “and (to preach) the day of vengeance of our God”. After closing the book Jesus said, “This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.” He had come to fulfill that scripture. God couldn’t allow our sin to go unpunished. His vengeance was to be poured out on Jesus.

And that’s our message – that Jesus was the substitute for us when He went to the Cross. It’s simple. We just accept that. God no longer demands payment for our sins. He is not mad at us. And He’s certainly not going to punish us for sins He has forgotten.
