Clovis is central eastern New Mexico is a town of about 40 thousand people. It is home to Cannon Air Force Base. The down town area has had varying degrees of success keeping business on Main Street. One very successful business is 2 Shabby Divas which is open 2 days per month. All month long Connie and my niece Laura create and replenish all the wonderfully creative chic merchandise then open the store a couple of days and wow the public. We then went down by the old Santa Fe train depot which now houses other company functions. But in years past when train travel was in its hey-day JoElla, her dad and brother met two celebrities there. The story that JoElla's brother Phil wrote to Clovis News Journal is at the bottom of the page.
